with existing energy infrastructure where it can best benefit 
the electrical grid. We have also taken into consideration the 
area’s solar resources and potential environmental impacts.

Solar Resources

Virginia has significant solar resources. Much of the same sun that helps the local agricultural industry thrive.

If cultural resources are identified, sensitive artifacts are left 

untouched.

Energy Demand

In Virginia, renewable energy development is driven by the Virginia Clean Economy Act, which aims for a 100% carbon-free electric grid by 2050 and targets 30% by 2030.

Environmental Evaluation

An environmental evaluation was 

conducted by a third 

party to ensure that all environmentally sensitive habitat areas are carefully avoided.

Co-located

The project is co-located on the Wolf Hills Energy Facility, allowing access to existing transmission lines. This helps lower the cost of energy produced and allows the project to more efficiently serve homes and businesses throughout the region.

Protecting Viewsheds

Sites are chosen to protect viewsheds
for the surrounding 

neighbors and communities.
